Sing "Yesterday" For Me: Volume 2 is the second installment tankōbon of the Japanese manga series by Kei Toume.

Summary[edit | edit source]

Haru is more blunt about her feelings for Rikuo. She considers herself to be a runner who started late, therefore having lost from the start. She doesn't care that Rikuo has feelings for Shinako, she is content with being his friend. It is a very stark contrast to how Rikuo felt with Shinako.

Haru has to visit her mother, Yuko. Her mother informs her that she will be getting married to a man named Kawashima. He is very kind, and Haru has no qualms with her mother marrying him. Yet, the implication changing her last name causes her to think of her father. It has been 10 years since she last saw him. Unable to get her mind off it, she visits the address he gave her when she was little, telling herself just to check if he's still there.

Rikuo and Shinako were distant for a while, but they eventually begin to change dynamic and interact more comfortably again. They're a little more than friends now, but not romantically. They are just closer in a better way. After learning what Shinako went through, Rikuo is more understanding and able to respect her desired space.

Rui is starting prep school. He seemed overly confident before, but he is actually looking to constantly improve. He has a lot of expectations for himself to live up to. If he's not careful, those aspirations can become all the more crushing. He's at a turning point in his life, where he can take almost any path available to him. He's beginning to realize that people who do not excel in education are not lazy or underachieving, they simply had different desires in life. He's starting to question what he really wants.

Shinako is slowly coming to terms with the passing of Yuu, her past love. For the first time, she wept for him. She is trying to face the reality of him being gone.
